North East Region Command details promotions, appointments and portfolio exchanges

(North Bay, ON) -
Chief Superintendent Allan V. Dawson, Regional Commander - North East Region, is pleased to formally announce the promotions, appointments and portfolio exchanges that have taken place under his new command.

Promotions & Appointments
Staff Sergeant Jack Gibbs, Sudbury detachment commander, has been promoted to the rank of detective inspector and will fill the position of Unit Commander, Crime Prevention- North East Region located at Regional Headquarters, North Bay.

Staff Sgt. Garry Mills, former chief of police for Elliot Lake, has been appointed to the position of detachment commander - Sudbury.

Staff Sgt. Bruce McCullagh has been selected to fill the detachment commander vacancy for Manitoulin Detachment.

He leaves a position in the Human Resources Bureau, General Headquarters, Orillia.

Portfolio Exchanges – Regional Headquarters – North Bay
Inspector Mark Andrews moves from the position of unit commander of the Provincial Communications Centre to unit commande,r Traffic & Marine - North East Region.

Inspector Dona Brown has been assigned the role of unit commander, Provincial Communications Centre – North Bay, and vacates the Regional Staffing and Development portfolio.

Inspector Jim McDonnell moves from the position of unit commander ,Traffic & Marine – North East Region to assume the regional responsibilities for staffing and development.
