'OPP DIE' and 'OPP PIGS' spray-painted in Mattawa

Signs and cars around Mattawa and Mattawan Township covered in graffiti

Someone certainly has a beef against the OPP in Mattawa.

Early this morning, around 3 a.m., police say, officers from the North Bay Detachment discovered that a police car parked behind the Mattawa Detachment had been spray-painted with orange paint.

Upon further investigation, officers found two other vehicles parked behind the Mattawa Detachment had also been vandalized.

Also, police found signs around Mattawa and Mattawan Township that were also covered in graffiti. Written on the signs were: OPP DIE and OPP PIGS.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this mischief to contact the North Bay OPP at (705) 495-3878.
