There won't be any debate, but a vote will take place tonight at city council on whether to look into the costs of replacing North Bay Police with OPP.
Council decided not to investigate the change at its last meeting two weeks ago, but Councillor Mark King introduced a motion of reconsideration, meaning a second vote will take place.
A motion to reconsider is used to deal with a previous motion that was voted on and was either passed or defeated.

The meeting will kick off with a public presentation from Robert Dufresne on the subject of OPP costing.
West Nipissing voted recently to change to the OPP, and Midland did so this week.
Also tonight council will receive the annual Report of the Municipal Heritage Committee. Its primary accomplishments in 2017 were the completion of two heritage evaluation reports (for the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and a private residence), touring two facilities for evaluation reports to be completed in 2018 (the Precious Blood Monastery and a private residence), updating the Illustrative Guide, preparation of a newsletter and the placement of a new Heritage Site Plaque recognizing the Barry Building Explosion.
The committee meeting has been cancelled, so the regular meeting will start at 6:30.
