OPP call two Temiskaming Shores deaths 'homicide/suicide'

The OPP in Temiskaming Shores are calling the recent double death of a husband and wife in that city, a "homicide/suicide."

Stab wounds were determined to be the cause of death for both people.

On October 11, at 3:10 p.m.,  officers received a request to attend a residence to check on the well-being of the occupants.  

Once on the scene, police entered and found two people dead.

The Temiskaming OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch began to investigate, what they termed the homicide/suicide on Little Street. 

Police say there is no threat to public safety.

A post-mortem examination took place in Sudbury on October 13.  The victim has been identified as Judy Neddo, 75, and her husband Basil Neddo, 77, who police believe committed the crime.
