Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Almaguin Highlands Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch Acting Detective Inspector Jim GORRY, have arrested and charged two males in connection with the death of Dolores WHITE, 85 years old, of Kearney, Ontario.
The investigation began on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at approximately 2:30 a.m., when police responded to a 9-1-1 call and discovered the victim requiring medical attention as a result of injuries sustained during an altercation at her residence.
She was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
• Declan LETTERS, 23, of Kearney, Ontario is charged with first degree murder,contrary to the Criminal Code; and
• Brock GOULD, 23, of McMurrich -Monteith Township is charged with accessory after the fact to murder, contrary to the Criminal Code.
Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Parry Sound on Friday April 11, 2014.

The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Almaguin Highlands Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch Acting Detective Inspector Jim GORRY, are continuing the investigation into the death of a Kearney, Ontario resident on Sunday, April 6, 2014.
OPP have arrested two individuals in relation to the death of Dolores WHITE, 85 year old, who was the victim of a homicide on April 6, 2014.
OPP are not releasing the names of the two arrested parties at this time, until charges are formally laid.
The OPP would like to thank the public for information received during this investigation.
