Open water advisory

The Ontario Provincial Police North Bay detachment says there's open water located approximately 20 feet (7 metres) off shore from end of Judge Street on Lake Nipissing.

While ice is thick on most of the lake, the OPP says any activity on the ice is hazardous and that persons who walk or utilize a motorized snow vehicle should proceed with extreme caution.

OPP advise the use of Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trails when they are open.
