OPP are investigating a traffic accident yesterday which left a 35-year-old Lake of Bays man dead.
It was approximately 7:30 a.m. Sunday when the Almaguin Highlands OPP were called to the scene of a single vehicle crash on Highway 518, between Dinsmore Road and Kallio Road.
Investigation showed the vehicle was eastbound when the driver lost control and left the highway striking several trees on the north side of the road.
Both the driver and the passenger were taken to hospital by EMS.
The driver, Bryan McKenzie 35 of Lake of Bays Township was pronounced dead at the hospital and his passenger, Lindsey MacDonald, 37 of McMurrich.Monteith Township suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate and a post mortem is scheduled for today.
The North East Region Canine and Emergency Response Team, the Kearney Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services also helped in the investigation.
