North Bay's MetricAid to expand physician scheduling software

'The expansion of the solution should improve patient wait times and optimize shift distribution for physicians. The company will also expand its range of services to support nursing homes'

MetricAid's physician scheduling solution helps physicians link their availability and expertise with hospitals and clinics, while reducing administrative burden so health care providers can focus on their patients.

Now with a grant of $149,200 from the Ontario Together Fund, the company will expand its cloud-based physician scheduling software solution to a larger scale, delivering scheduling services to healthcare providers and health organizations through staff planning.

The technology will also help distribute shifts and hours to ensure the needs of doctors, patients, and clinics are met. The expansion of the solution should improve patient wait times and optimize shift distribution for physicians. The company will also expand its range of services to support nursing homes.

The local company has expanded quickly since being founded by Les Blackwell and Dr. Scott Daley in 2012. MetricAid serves emergency departments in Canada, the US, and the UK.
