The North Bay Summer Concert Series is back.

The popular music event will continue on Wednesday nights through the month of July and peak with a two-act show on the Saturday night of the civic holiday weekend.

The event is summer tradition at the Kiwanis Bandshell on the Lake Nipissing waterfront.

All of the shows are free with support from the City of North Bay.

The concert series will cover several music genres and is expected to draw crowds of a thousand people each night. Many make it a date bringing lawn chairs or blankets.

Shows start around 7 p.m. each night but are weather dependent. The first option for rain nights is the following Thursday.

More than 30 acts expressed interest in performing.

Here's the concert line up:

Wed July 3 - Don & Friends Band (classic rock and traditional country)

Wed July 10 - Night Ryders (classic rock, new country, traditional country)

Wed July 17 - Paul Pruneau & The Journeymen (classic rock and blues)

Wed July 24 - The Cliche Collective (folk, rock, world-beat)

Wed July 31 - Maple Hill Project (harmony-driven rock)

Sat Aug 3 - Heart of Gold & Broken Down Lori (classic rock & 80’s rock)

The Kiwanis bandshell is located on Memorial Drive near King’s Landing.
