Summer returned to North Bay Saturday, perhaps for one final hurrah before yielding to Old Man Winter.
The temperature was warm enough to break a 42-year-old weather record, with the mercury hitting 23.7 degrees Celsius.
That, said Mike Warren, manager of the weather observing station at Jack Garland Airport, surpassed the previous high of 23.3, set Oct. 11, 1961.
Balmy breezes drew scores of people to Memorial Drive Saturday to enjoy the carousel, the waterfront, and the Golden Mile walk.
Baytoday.ca decided to drop by and record some images.
