North Bay to host awards gala

North Bay has been selected to host the eighth annual Ontario Global Traders Awards next April.

Event organizers made the announcement in Thunder Bay today, where the awards gala featuring Ontario's top exporters, is being hosted this year.

North Bay Mayor Vic Fedeli was on hand to accept the honour and told a packed house that North Bay will put on a show they will never forget.

Ontario is the engine of Canada’s economy and exports drive much of that economic activity. That is why the Ontario Government, through its export development agency, Ontario Exports Inc., has joined forces with its partners in trade to celebrate the exporting achievements of Ontario exporters, business leaders, and students.

North Bay winners at this year’s event included Fur Harvesters Auction Inc. in the partnership category and Peter Valin of Nipissing University in the student achievement category.
