The North Bay Museum will be unveiling a celebration of the people of North Bay in a new exhibit opening up in early August.

The new exhibit is called "Where Are They Now?"

It acknowledges the accomplishments of young people who grew up in North Bay and moved away over the past few decades. A call for nominees for the exhibit went out in January with 47 nominations received.

Eleven exhibit contributors were selected to be profiled in the exhibit. Profiles include a short biography, their favourite memory of North Bay as well as a photo from their youth juxtaposed with a more recent career photo.

The exhibit will also contain an “Honour Roll” containing the names and occupations of the other 36 nominees, which were suggested by the North Bay community.

The Museum will be giving the North Bay media a sneak peak on the morning of Wednesday, August 5.

The event will take place in advance of the official opening of the exhibit on August 7.
