A North Bay man is facing multiple charges relating to a break and enter at a business in the 200 block of Main Street West in North Bay.

North Bay Police allege that on December 5 shortly before 8 a.m., the accused broke the glass of the front door of a business and entered the building, leaving a short time later.

When the report of the break-in was received police were able to identify the accused who had left on foot.

The male suspect was arrested and a search after arrest resulted in a small seizure of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine.

The investigation has resulted in the arrest of Jesse Bergeron, age 30, of North Bay who is charged with:

  • One Count of Break and Enter With Intent
  • One Count of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime
  • One Count of Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • One Count of Fail to Comply With Recognizance of Bail

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on December 6.

North Bay Police would like to take this opportunity to remind business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images help to identify suspects, can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.

Police also remind the public to be aware of suspicious people and call 911 immediately if you witness a crime in progress.
