North Bay man faces 'possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose' charge after being stopped in Sturgeon

On September 23 at 11:30 p.m. Nipissing West OPP conducted a traffic stop on Front Street in Sturgeon Falls.

The driver of the vehicle had an outstanding warrant from North Bay Police Service and was arrested under the strength of the warrant.

A search yielded two knives.

As a result of the investigation, Steven Deuxberry, 34, from North Bay, was arrested and charged with "Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose."

He was then transported to NBPS to execute the warrant.

Deuxberry was issued an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 28 in West Nipissing.
