North Bay Drug Enforcement Unit helps with Haileybury drug bust

On August 21, 2013 at approximately 10:45 a.m. the North Bay Drug Enforcement Unit along with the South Porcupine Drug Enforcement Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Haileybury.

Further investigation resulted in several criminal charges being laid.

William HOLDEN 36, of Thornloe is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) – section 4(1), Possession of Cannabis Marihuana – section 4(1), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Ecstasy – section 5(2), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine – section 5(2), and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis Marihuana – section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Karissa TRAHAN 33, of Haileybury is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) – section 4(1), Possession of Cannabis Marihuana – section 4(1), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine – section 5(2), and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking N-methyl-3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDMA) – section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both accused will appear in Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on October 8, 2013.
