No new COVID cases locally today

The North Bay Parry Sound Health Unit reports that there are no new cases today and 22 active cases. Of those 19 are in the Parry Sound district.

The total number of cases remains at 371.

Of the over 18 populations 44 per cent have received vaccinations.

The Health Unit said today it is concerned with the area's increasing case count, but lower rates of testing.

The Timiskaming Health Unit reports 13 active cases.

The Sudbury Health Unit reports eight new cases today and 92 active cases. Also, since the PHSD began tracking COVID-19 cases just over 14 months ago, there have been 1,995 total COVID-19 cases confirmed. PHSD also said 1,903 of those cases have now been resolved.  

The Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit reports 82 new cases and 1,108 active cases.

Over 226,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Simcoe Muskoka, including doses administered by local pharmacies. Over 210,200 individuals living in Simcoe Muskoka have received their first dose of vaccine, which represents over 34 per cent of the total population.
