"There are currently no high-risk exposures associated with Nbisiing Bus Lines, " says the notice.

The exposure period began on April 9th and extends to April 23rd.

"Our nursing staff have completed all notifications of high-risk contacts. While not considered an outbreak, this situation has resulted in at least 10 high-risk exposures in Garden Village with impacts to families and staff of Nipissing First Nation.

"We are aware of the increased presence of variants of concern in this district and we must respond as though we are dealing with one until we know otherwise. At this time, Public Health only requires that the high-risk exposure case within the household self-isolate and that other members of the household who are asymptomatic can leave for essential purposes only."

"In response to this elevated risk level in Garden Village, we are proceeding with the following measures:

This is a precautionary measure and is in keeping with the approach we took with the Couchie Memorial Daycare related to the recent COVID-19 Outbreak in Duchesnay, which remains active. All parents have been notified.
  • NFN staff associated with a high-risk exposure are mandated to not come into the office or any NFN facility for work purposes for the 2-week exposure period (April 9-23). Staff are to contact their managers or supervisors to make arrangements where required.
  • Garden Village playground amenities and the Outdoor Rink will be CLOSED for the duration of the exposure period (April 9-23)
