The defending NDA champion Algonquin Barons overcame a 18-13 halftime deficit, scoring on their last two fourth quarter drives to earn the win on Friday over the West Ferris Trojans.
The Barons pulled ahead 19-18 over the Trojans when QB Connor Filiatrault scored from 14 yards out.
The Trojans tied it with a rouge with 1:35 left in the fourth. Filiatrault lead a 5-play 76 yd drive with big completions to Ryan Smetana (25 yds) and Matt Berubé (50 yds) for the win.
Filiatrault punched it in on the ground from the one with 20 seconds remaining.
Troy McLaren added a rushing touchdowns for the Trojans while Nick Corbeil had a touchdown reception.
