Highway 17 W was closed for about three hours yesterday afternoon when a motorcyclist lost control of his bike.
Police say on May 16, at approximately 2:30 p.m. North Bay OPP responded to a single motorcycle crash near Nova Beaucage Road on Nipissing First Nation.
Investigation revealed that the driver of the eastbound motorcycle tried to brake, lost control, hit the soft shoulder and slid. The rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator is assisting with this ongoing investigation. Emergency Medical Services along with the Fire Department helped.
