Morning police report

The North Bay Police Service is investigating two weekend break-ins. On Nov. 21 between 2:45 PM and 4:30 PM thieves used a basement window to enter a home in the 900 block of Brooke Street.

On Nov. 21 between 2:45 PM and 4:30 PM thieves used a basement window to enter a home in the 900 block of Brooke Street. Once inside they ransacked the home and stole cash and jewellery.

It is also believed that an adjoining home was broken into during the same time. However at this particular home it is not yet known if anything was taken.

During the weekend of Nov. 18-20 thieves broke into three portable classrooms at the rear of Silver Birches on Marshall Avenue E. Although only candy was stolen, there was a substantial amount of damage incurred. This included, a fire extinguisher being discharged, paint spilled on the floor and markers to deface walls and desks. Numerous items were also strewn about.
