More positive business news for Gin-Cor

Gin-Cor Industries Inc. held a noon-hour ceremony at its head office in Mattawa to celebrate its many business achievements with staff members, industry supporters and municipal officials in attendance today .

The celebration included a presentation from Glen Weckwerth, Partner with Grant Thornton LLP.Weckwerth presented Gin-Cor with a Certificate of Nomination for the recent 2016 Private Business Growth Award, which is an annual award established by Grant Thornton LLP in partnership with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. 

Weckwerth wanted to thank Gin-Cor for their positive impact on the region, as well as for sharing their growth story by participating in the award nomination process.

“While Gin-Cor was not selected by the jury as a finalist for the award, we couldn’t go without recognizing the impressive achievements of Gin-Cor,” Weckwerth said. 

“Today’s ceremony was to thank Gin-Cor for their leadership, growth, and economic impact in the region. They’ve accomplished a lot and this is a way to celebrate that.”

Gin-Cor President Luc Stang says his entire team’s effort has led to this success. 

“Things like this are because of all of our staff and partners. From our original head offices to our new locations, it’s a team effort to create the best built, best backed heavy duty vehicles and trailers on the road,” said Stang.  

This is the latest in a string of successes for Gin-Cor Industries. 

They were ranked on the PROFIT 500 list as one of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2015 and 2016. 

Gin-Cor was recently named the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year for 2016.

Recent business milestones have included opening new locations in Carleton Place and Kingston in 2014, acquiring Durabody Industries in 2015, and JC Trailers Design & Fabrication in 2016.
