The MNRF are investigating who dumped 64 rotting walleye into the Muskoka River.

The MNRF wants to find the poacher, someone who catches and kills fish illegally, who dumped walleye on the shore of the south branch of the Muskoka River near the Ontario Power Generation station last month.

On May 21 conservation officers responded to reports of abandoned walleye and found 64 rotting carcases, some of which were left to waste whole.  There was also litter – including 13 AAA batteries- discarded along the shore.
