What started as a mischief complaint has led to some pretty serious charges against a West Nipissing man.

Early in the morning of January 19, Nipissing West OPP responded to a mischief complaint on Robichaud Road, in Sturgeon Falls.

A man was found damaging personal property with a blunt object and uttering threats to harm people.

As a result of the investigation, Kevin Robichaud, 43, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
  • Mischief - destroys or damages property

Robichaud was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice today in North Bay.
