UPDATED MORE PHOTOS;McKeown blocked to traffic after pedestrian hit

Witnesses say the accident also involves a pair of vehicles

McKeown Ave. is closed at Champlain St. after a male pedestrian was struck by a female driver around 11 a.m.

Witnesses say the accident also involves a pair of vehicles.

One witness told BayToday.ca that the pedestrian was underneath one of the vehicles. No word on the severity of the pedestrian's injuries.

Motorists are able to detour using Champlain as the intersection was blocked off by emergency personnel.

BayToday will update as details become available.

That location has been a problem area in the past.  Back in 2015, three accidents occurred within two months, including a fatality involving a pedestrian.
