All four candidates vying to be mayor will take a seat in a dunk tank competition as part of Rotary’s Splash Pad Fun Event on Saturday, September 8, behind the North Bay Museum.

"The fun event runs from noon until 3 p.m, with the candidates getting dunked starting at 1 p.m.," according to spokesman Bill Hagborg.

Other activities include the North Bay Fire & Emergency Services (aerial truck, misting tent, water sprinkler), inflatables, water-based games; wishing well, and treats for the kids.

"This event is the official launch for the 'Make a Splash' fundraising campaign," says Hagborg. The overall goal is to raise $760,000. Both local Rotary clubs have committed $125,000 each towards the project and have already been busy working on raising the additional funds."
