Man in critical condition following Hwy 11 MVC

A two vehicle collision Tuesday on Hwy 11 at Burk's Falls has left a 73-year-old Armour Twp man in a Toronto hospital in critical condition.
A two vehicle collision Tuesday on Hwy 11 at Burk's Falls has left a 73-year-old Armour Twp man in a Toronto hospital in critical condition.

Richard Thomas 73 was driving his pick-up truck southbound on the highway in the morning when he collided with a tractor-trailer being driven by Joel DRANGER, 28, of Listowel Ont., who was heading in the opposite direction.

The Ontario Provincial Police closed the highway in both directions after the accident and it remained closed for about nine hours.

Police reopened the highway at 6:15 Tuesday night.

Thomas was airlifted to St. Michael's Hospital.

Almaguin Highlands OPP is investigating.
