Woman charged after hitting train

Police responded to a vehicle struck by a train on the Canadian National rail line on Highway 17, Coniston.

There's been a charge laid in that car-train accident we told you about yesterday.

At 3:41 p.m. members from the Sudbury Detachment of the OPP, the Sudbury Fire Department as well as the Sudbury-Manitoulin District Emergency Medical Services, responded to a vehicle struck by a train on the Canadian National rail line on Highway 17, Coniston.

The driver of the motor vehicle, Cecile Peterson, 79 years old of Sudbury, has been charged with Careless Driving.
