City police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at the Canadian Tire gas bar on Algonquin Ave. last month,
An ongoing investigation resulted in the arrest and detention this morning of a local man.
On September 22 a man entered the Canadian Tire Gas bar located at 1403 Algonquin Avenue and pointed a firearm. The clerk was injured with a knife as the robber fled.
Steven Martel, 28, of North Bay.is charged with:
- Attempt Robbery,
- Pointing a Firearm,
- Disguise with Intent,
- Assault with a Weapon and
- Breach of Recognizance.
Martel has a bail hearing today.
