Reconstruction at the intersection of Main Street West, Memorial Drive, Murray Street, and Oak Street is expected to start Monday, April 19 and is tentatively scheduled for completion by this July.

The intersection improvements, which are part of the construction of the West Link multi-Use pathway started last summer, include the reconfiguration of lanes, the addition of a left turn lane on Murray Street, and line painting for bikes.

The work also includes the extension of the three-meter wide asphalt multi-use pathway on Memorial Drive. The pathway will extend to the intersection, where it will connect to designated bike lanes on Main Street West.

Local traffic access will be reconfigured as needed during the course of construction to maintain access to properties in the area.

As this may result in short traffic delays, drivers are advised to leave extra time for travel in this area or take an alternative route to their destination if possible.
