North Bay’s Brady Lyle and Battalion star forward Matthew Struthers have both been invited to NHL development camps which start up this week on the heels of the NHL Entry Draft which took place over the weekend in Vancouver, B.C.
Struthers joined the Canadiens AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, at the end of the Battalion season.
The Milton, Ontario product had a very solid year with the Troops netting 31 goals along with 50 assists for 81 points.
Struthers will be among 39 free agents and draft prospects attending the Canadiens camp which will take place June 26 to 28 at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, Quebec.

Meantime Brady Lyle has been invited to the Arizona Coyotes Prospect Development Camp which goes June 24 to 28 at the Gila River Arena.
The former 2015 Battalion first-round pick who was traded to Owen Sound in the fall of 2017, had an invite to the Anaheim Duck camp in 2017 after going undrafted in his draft year. Last summer he was invited to the Ottawa Senators Development Camp.

Lyle, who turned 20 back in June finished off his best OHL season accumulating 11 goals and 30 assists for 41 points in 68 games with the Attack.
Mason Primeau, who was selected in the fifth round by the Vegas Golden Knights at the NHL Entry Draft Saturday, will be joining the Vegas Golden Knights Development Camp which also begins this week.
