Former North Bay Centennials head scout John Trempe passed away in January.

Trempe worked under Bert Templeton and ended up working with other OHL clubs as well.  He was involved in minor hockey throughout his 98 years.

Trempe was known for his passion for the game and his great sense of humour.

The longtime scout was honoured with a moment of silence prior to Sunday’s Battalion game against the Mississauga Steelheads.

His funeral took place on February 16th at McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax, Ontario.
