Many people in North Bay will fondly remember Bob Ives for his contributions to the community and his easy-going manner.

Bob passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, at the age of 70 surrounded by people who love him.

"We are heartbroken but are drawing so much strength in this difficult time from all the love and support and knowing how many other people love him too. He touched hearts and shared love everywhere he went. We hope you will be able to join us to celebrate the life of this amazing man," said the family on his Facebook page.

He was the beloved husband of Karen for 48 years.

Bob had a long career as an Air Traffic Controller working in North Bay and Toronto.

He was a proud member of the Optimist Club for over 45 years, where he served his community and made many lasting and cherished friendships. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

 A Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 316 Queenston St, St. Catharines, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11 a.m.
