In August 2011 Premier McGuinty said “we respect the bargaining process as result of the process we don’t tear up collective agreements”. A year later the Liberals with the help of the Conservatives have passed legislation to tear up collective agreements and attack collective bargaining rights.

Premier Dalton McGuinty said “we’re all in this together”.

“What about all the tax breaks to profitable multi- national corporations and banks, which turned $8 billion in profits this quarter alone?” Asks Henri Giroux president of North Bay and District Labour Council.

“This isn’t just about education workers. The Liberals are using public-sector workers as a scapegoat for their mistakes and that’s why we must challenge this new Ontario law that strip workers of their constitutional rights” said Giroux

On Friday September 14th, let your MPP know his vote in favor of removing collective bargaining rights will not be forgotten. Join education workers from OSSTF, CUPE and ETFO in a demonstration of solidarity and protest this undemocratic loss of bargaining Rights.

We are here today at our MPP’s office to ask Vic Fedeli why he didn’t allow free collective bargaining rights.

When: 4:15 pm-5:00 pm
Where: Vic Fedeli MPP’S office 165 Main Street East North Bay
