It has not been easy for many restaurants to navigate through all the lockdowns and continue to do good business.

However, the two Burgerworld locations are trying to create some positivity and show appreciation for their customers and a couple of charities.

In a social media video, Dan Rivet, owner of Burgerworld on Hammond, unveiled "Customer Appreciation Time" which will lead to a weekly draw/

"Burgerworld on Hammond and Algonquin are giving back to the community," stated Dan Rivet, owner of Burgerworld on Hammond in North Bay.

"Effective Thursday we are giving one ballot for every $10 spent with us through pickup, take-out or delivery for a chance to win $150 in Burgerworld gift cards. We will be drawing a winner every Sunday.

"You helped us through COVID-19 thus far, now we are helping you. Burger World on Hammond and Algonquin would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support. We wouldn't be here without you."

On top of that, Rivet says they will be donated $100 in groceries per week for the next month to both the Nipissing Serenity Hospice and the North Bay Food Bank.

"We are going to do a four-week trial run based on this promotion we may even prolong it," said Rivet, about this charity partnership with Northern Ontario Food Sales.
