The Fall Food Drive was a great success this year says a news release from the Food Bank. Students took the time to knock on doors and collect food.
West Ferris students collected over 10,000 pounds of food. They also need a community cheer for picking up the donations from Algonquin school, and unloading the truck at the food bank.
Algonquin students collected 4,452 pounds, along with $5.
École publique Héritage and École secondaire publique Odyssée collected a total of 1,750 pounds.
Widdifield students collected over 4,000 pounds of food, along with $5.
U-Need-A-Cab for delivered donations to the food bank.
October’s Food of the Month is baby food, pablum, large sized diapers and wipes; however the food bank welcomes all non-perishable food items as donations.
The food bank is located at 1016 Fisher Street in North Bay and is open to serve clients Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until noon., and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 until 7 p.m. For more information, call the North Bay Food Bank at 705-495-3290.
