Dennis Harwood is frustrated.

The owner of Harwood Plumbing and Heating Ltd. was hit for the fourth time since the spring by a robber who breaks into his work vehicles and steals equipment.

On Wednesday morning, just after 5 a.m. the thief took a Ridgid drill along with 18 volt batteries and chargers.

Harwood has had enough and is offering a reward of $500 for anyone who can help them find out who the thief is.

“They don’t take a lot of stuff, only $300 to $500 worth of stuff, but it is just, come on,” said the frustrated business owner.

Harwood insists it has to be the same guy on all four occasions. His video cameras catch him, but none of the angles show his face.

Harwood has posted the latest theft video on his Facebook page in hopes of gathering more leads.

“He walks in and he has a hoodie on - same in the summertime - he walks underneath the motion sensor light and it flashes up bright and he does not even flinch,” said Harwood.

“He walks up and he can pick a lock faster than I can open a door with a key.”

Police have investigated the thefts but have not been able to nab a suspect yet.

Harwood says the thief has broken into four or five different work vans but has never tried to steal a vehicle.

Anyone with any leads or information on these thefts is asked to call North Bay Police or call Harwood directly at (705) 476-2536.
