Residents of Callander have decided they like the direction their town is taking apparently.
No one is running against incumbent Hec Lavigne and the popular politician will serve another four years.
"I accept the acclamation for mayor of Callander as a vote of confidence in my ability to guide Council and the community forward," he said this afternoon in a news release.
"There is much more work to do but you have my commitment to a balanced approach to the delivery of services and the effect our decisions have on our taxpayers."
Lavigne thanked the dedication of staff and past Councillors.
"Deputy Mayor Virginia Onley and Councillor Heather Busch have decided not to run. I will miss their enthusiasm commitment to the Municipality. True Callanderites, wonderful women who I am proud of calling friends and confidants."
There are nine candidates running for four council seats.
