Summer in the Park organizers are planning a party to launch this year's event...and you're invited!
The kick-off will take place at the Capitol Centre on Tuesday May 13 at 6:45 p.m.
"There will be lots of excitement and lots of information," said Chair John Strang.
"The entire entertainment lineup will be unveiled and we'll be giving away popcorn and cotton candy."
"It'll be a fun event."
You'll also have a chance to win wristbands.
Only 9,999 wristbands will be sold.
Ten thousand were available, but Strang says Mayor Al McDonald bought the first one. Cost in advance will be $40, but after June 30, the price rises to $50.
The wristbands can be bought online at www.summerinthepark.com, at the Capitol Centre box office, or City Hall.
