Ed Valenti, the chair of the Dionne Quints Heritage Board shared the news as part of the organization's annual presentation to North Bay City Council earlier this week (see video below).

Annette and Cecile are the two surviving Dionne sisters and Annette will visit North Bay, health permitting, with the birthday celebration scheduled for Sunday, May 28. Valenti said Cecile would not make the trip due to health considerations.

Valenti said the opening of the museum's season will be May 26, coinciding with the birthday festivities. The Dionne Quints Heritage Board now has charitable status, which allows for the issuing of charitable receipts to donors and sponsors.

In a follow-up to Five-The Dionne’s: A Musical, based on an idea by Gerry Mendicino, performances of an extended version featuring a greater Dionne family reflection will be held at the Capitol Centre on June 2 and June 3. Tickets are $30 (through the Capitol Centre) with dinner specials at participating restaurants.
