Veteran broadcaster John 'Country' Size Sr. passed away in hospital Thursday.

Size the ‘Voice’ of North Bay airwaves for over half a century was a North Bay Musicians and Entertainers hall of fame member and Nipissing Country Music Association's hall of fame member .

He hung up his mic on his beloved Sunday morning Bluegrass show for the last time on November 19, 2006 marking 62 years on the airwaves.

Size, 88, was also a valued member of the Gateway Theatre Guild and shared his acting prowess with the community in a number of productions over the years.

Size is survived by his two sons and four grandchildren which includes former BayToday reporter Devin Size.

Family will receive friends at the Martyn Funeral Home Sunday (today) from 7:00pm till 9:00pm and Monday from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00am.
