Israeli personnel carriers carrying some 25 soldiers knocked down a fence, sped past United Nations peacekeepers and entered Southern Lebanon this morning.

Israeli warplanes seem to be targetting communications infrastructure, cutting phone service to some areas and knocking three television stations off the air.

The nation's biggest private broadcaster, Lebanese Broadcasting Corp. is reportedly off the air.
