Is this the unluckiest man in North Bay?

Rollin', rollin', rollin'. Keep those Timmies cups rollin'.

Miles MacMillan has good-naturedly been sharing his misfortunes as far as winning a prize in Tim Hortons' Roll-Up-the-Rim-to-Win contest with his friends on social media. He says that people have even started approaching him on the street, asking him if he had won anything yet.

MacMillan has gone through a 0-for-15 run of futility since the contest opened. For the long-time player in the local music scene, it seems as though his coffee game is all rock and no roll.

In a post accompanying the photo above, a Facebook friend suggested that, perhaps, MacMillan would win the grand prize (a car). MacMillan responded, "Haha. I'm just hoping to win a bloody coffee! I won't be unhappy if it's a car, though."

MacMillan has been keeping his Facebook friends apprised when he purchases a coffee, often with an accompanying positive, yet doomed, affirmation, such as, "I'm having another coffee. This is the one!"

MacMillan, contacted by BayToday, confirms that his losing streak is still intact. The Philadelphia Flyers supporter relayed that "I'm 0-for-15. My lucky number is 16 though (for Bobby Clarke), so I'm expecting big things on my next roll-up."

At the outset, according to the contest website, 40 cars, 150 55-inch televisions, 24,000 $100 Tim's card, and 49,007,531 coffee and food prizes were available to be won. In Ontario, 154,202,040 cups (winners and non-winners) were distributed for the contest's duration. That's tempting even for a former Tim Horton's employee.

MacMillan has been taking his streak in stride. "I'm actually pretty lucky. I've won quite a few contests on the radio and elsewhere. And in previous years I've won quite a few small prizes on Roll-up-the-Rim."

Asked if he has tried different tactics to break his streak, such as going to a different store or ordering in a different way, MacMillan replied that he had not. "My son Aidan thinks I should buy 50 coffees to try to win something, but I told him I don't think that's going to happen."
