An irate male yelling and screaming outside a residence on Broadway Street in South River yesterday afternoon brought OPP to the scene.
When police arrived and tried to talk with the man, who had now entered the house, his behaviour became destructive and threatening.
About four hours later the Emergency Response Team entered the house and arrested the man under the Mental Health Act.
He was taken to the hospital.
Almaguin Highlands OPP, along with the North East Region Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services also helped in the incident.
