IODE goes medieval

The Manitou chapter of the IODE went medieval Saturday night, holding a fundraising dinner at the Clarion Resort -Pinewood Park.
"It's a fundraiser for various projects we support, such as the hospital, the breakfast program for children, children's literacy, Transition House, and a lot of local projects," said chapter president Gayle Denston.
The theme for the dinner was Modern-Medieval, Denston said.
"We made it that way because a lot of people don't care to dress up, so it's easier to say a combination of both, and those of us who are exhibitionists, you might say, have come all dressed up."
