Injured motorcyclist's condition improving

The family members of injured motorcyclist Brad Martin is reporting his health is improving as he has been taken off life support and breathing on his own again. 

Martin was seriously injured when he was involved in a collision with a van while on his motorbike on Wednesday, September 14th.  

The 33-year-old driver of the van has been charged.

The family left an optimistic message on Facebook on Sunday.  

“They gave him a tracheostomy Sunday morning all went well,” stated the family on Facebook.   

“They took him off life support and he is breathing through the tracheostomy on his own with no help from the machine. He is partially opening his eyes, and blinking. He is reacting when we speak and he is maintaining his temperature.”  

Last week was a roller coaster as Martin faced a health setback.

Last Monday, Martin, who owns and operates Allmakes Service Plus on Main Street, came out of his induced coma and connected with his older brother Russell Martin.
