Police called to a domestic dispute in Nipissing Township ended up laying an impaired charge in Callander yesterday.
On February 13 at 12:15 a.m., North Bay OPP officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Nipissing Township.
As police were on route, one of the combatants left the residence but officers found the vehicle in at a home in Callander.
As a result of the investigation, a 55-year-old from Callander is charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus).
An un-named person was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to attend court in North Bay.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the drivers' licence was subject to a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension.
This marks the sixth driver charged under the criminal impaired driving laws in the North Bay Detachment area in 2020.
