It isn’t every day you meet a well known Hollywood actress in downtown North Bay.
But on Monday the cast and crew of the movie “Mum’s the Word” started filming at the downtown Twigg’s location on Worthington Street.
Ariane Savard is the General Manager at the Empire Living Centre next door which hosted the cast and crew for lunch after the first morning of shooting for the Hallmark Murder-Mystery.
Savard is also a huge Brooke Shields fan, as the star actress and model is part of the cast of the film.
“I greeted Brooke when I saw her SUV arrive,” said Savard about Shields, whose childhood/teenage films include Blue Lagoon.
“I spoke to her for a bit and she was very down to earth and friendly. Brooke even took a moment for a photo during her hair and makeup break. She greeted everyone in the lobby with a big smile and everyone was both surprised and happy to see her!
“It's great that North Bay is welcoming of stars like Brooke Shields. I follow her on social media and it was amazing to get to meet her.”
Shields and the rest of the “Mum’s The Word” crew will continue filming in the area for the rest of the week.
