Did you know toilets account for nearly 30 per cent of the typical indoor water consumption in residential settings?

According to the City of North Bay, toilets are a major source of wasted water due to leaks or inefficiency. The Low Flow Toilet Replacement Rebate Program offers a $50 rebate for up to two purchases of WaterSense labelled low-flow toilets that are replacing existing, less efficient toilets.

The rebate is available exclusively for residential units located within the City of North Bay connected to the municipal water system. There is a limit of two rebates per account. So, if the property has one account and multiple units, the property would be eligible for two rebates only. The rebate to the customer will be credited to the water account. The applicant must provide the original sales receipt with the completed rebate application form.

Toilets must be replacement toilets. Toilets installed with new construction or renovations are not eligible. The toilet must be installed to claim the rebate and the City of North Bay reserves the right to arrange an inspection of your newly installed toilet.

The City says rebates will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget allotment has been exhausted. Submission of an application does not guarantee a rebate.
