The City of North Bay’s Event Hosting Program is accepting grant applications to help support not-for-profit conferences, meetings, sports tournaments and other special events that will be taking place in 2023.
The program, which supports community groups by providing funding to help offset event-hosting costs, is accepting applications until Jan. 28, 2023. Program funding is available to help support events that result in a significant community impact and present the opportunity to showcase and promote North Bay.
Applications are evaluated and scored by a Review Committee, consisting of representatives of North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce and the City’s Economic Development and Community Services departments. A scoring system will be used to determine the impact of the event on the community and help guide the Committee in determining the funding status of each application says a news release.
Applications received after the Jan. 28th deadline will only be considered if there are remaining program funds. All interested groups are encouraged to apply.
