Hospital patient, screaming and swearing, gets arrested

Police were sent to a Salter Street home to help with an unconscious woman

West Nipissing Police report that on Saturday they were sent to a Salter Street home to help with an unconscious woman. She was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.

The police were later called to the hospital as the same woman was screaming and swearing and acting up. She was arrested for causing a disturbance.

The 38-year-old woman now faces charges of:

  • possession of a controlled substance and
  • causing a disturbance in a public place.

Meanwhile on Sunday, while of general patrol, a West Nipissing Police officer was flagged down by a pedestrian in the William Street area.

The officer was told that a couple was arguing very loudly while on the sidewalk.

The officer knew that the man and woman were to not to be together and arrested him.

He was found to be breaching conditions of his release order and now faces charges of:

  • Breach of Recognizance, and
  • Breach of Probation.
